A downloadable game

Night Out

Are you ready for the ultimate night out? Hit up three parties tonight and prove to everyone you are the greatest partier there ever was. The night will get  crazier after each party...

Materials

  • Deck of cards
  • 6d6 dice
    • 2 for your party rolls
    • 2 for other guests
    • 1 for your popularity level
    • 1 for your rowdiness level

Objective

Become the greatest partier! Reach level 6 in both popularity and rowdiness by the end of the game

Play

There are three parties tonight, each one with six other guests. If you impress them enough, they will join your righteous cause.

  • Draw 6 cards and arrange them so all are visible to start the first party
  • Set your popularity and rowdiness to 1 (using dice to represent each)
  • One by one, choose a guest to party with:
    • Black cards represent popular guests, Red cards represent rowdy ones
    • Roll 2d6. Add your level corresponding to the guest. If the total is >= the guest, they join you (take the card into your hand). Otherwise, they are not impressed enough and leave the party (place them into a discard pile)
  • After partying with a guest, you can attempt to level up
    • Choose a stat to attempt to level: popularity or rowdiness
    • To each level N, you need to roll at least 4*N
  • For any roll, If you have partiers that have joined you (in your hand):
    • Before the roll, you can play partiers that correspond to the roll face up to increase the result based on the partier's rank (e.g., for leveling rowdiness, play red cards from your hand face up before hand. Or, for partying with a popular guest, play black cards from your hand before rolling)
    • After the roll, you can play any number of partiers face down. Each adds 1 to the roll

The second party is a bit more wild...

  • Draw 6 guests like before
  • When you are partying with a guest, roll 2d6 for them. Add the difference to their rank.

For the final party, roll 1d6 to add to each guest's rank when partying with them.

Face cards are rank 10, and Ace is 11.

Example play

R=Rowdy, B=Popular

First party:

I draw R3, B5, R6, B9, RJ, BQ

I choose to party with R3. I roll 2d6=> 2. 2+1 (my rowdy level) >= 3, so R3 joins me.

I attempt to level my rowdiness to 2. I place R3 from my hand before rolling, then roll 2d6 => 6. 6+3 >= 4*2, so I get to increase my rowdiness level to 2.
